Street or Guard Light Repair

There are two ways to report a streetlight or guard light outage:

• Call 972-205-3483
• Submit an Electric Service Request.

Please give the exact location of the light or a pole number, along with your name, address and daytime telephone number in case we need to contact you for additional information about the light.

GP&L Upgrading to LED Streetlights

The new LED streetlights will consume about one-third the energy of the old high-pressure sodium streetlights and have a significantly increased lifespan, reducing energy costs and maintenance. Learn More.

Streetlight Installation

GP&L will install additional streetlights on public streets at no cost to the customer. These installations are subject to various qualifying standards. For more information, contact GP&L at 972-205-3506 or submit an Electric Service Request.

Guard Light Installation     

For a one-time installation fee and a monthly service charge, GP&L will install an LED guard light(s) at your residence or place of business. The installation fee varies depending upon the complexity of the installation.

Monthly service charges:

• 100 watt - $5.34
• 250 watt - $7.00
